NOBLE OUT INJURED

Injury-wise, we will be without Mark Noble this weekend. Mark picked up a knock in training and passed a fitness test to play against Chelsea. He pushed himself 100 per cent in that game, and then after a few days of recovery and improvement, he played again at Bournemouth.

Unfortunately, he picked up another knock in the same area of his body in that game and that took him out. He will also miss Saturday’s game against Leicester City too and a week of rest and rehab will help to prepare him for the three-game week coming up against Hull, Arsenal and Swansea.

Snarestone ridiculous team selection you've left out Obiang

I also think he won't drop Noble now. His one main trait is stubbornness.

Re: Team v leicester
Fancy us against a knackered team. Forget Snodgrass & Fonte. Give Noble a day off. Collins in as a hard man. Ayew, Lanzini, Antonio to score, Carroll to play but don't hold your breath. A great day out. COYI!!

Re: Team v leicester
I don't think Bilic will change anything if at all, going by previous. Leicester are quick, hungry and first to the ball, similar to Bournemouth but better notably in defence so I doubt we will get anything more than a draw at best.

Re: Team v leicester
Think Bilic will dig his heels in over Noble and be even less likely to drop him. He'll be first on the team sheet and then everyone else fitted in around him.

Was tempted with Collins but either him or Fonte will get done for pace against Vardy. Almost tempted also to play Cresswell at left mid for his crossing and let Masuaku defend behind him!!!

Bilic however will go : Randolph, Kouyate, Fonte, Reid, Cresswell, Obiang, Noble, Feghouli, Antonio, Lanzini, Carroll.

Yep, I think this is the consensus. The brief upturn in form after Payet has run its course and we are back to where we were with the root problems of players out of position covering for players we do not have for positions (striker, right back) and the slowest team in the Premiership that gets exposed if it tries to take the game to the opposition. Most vulnerable on the counter attack of any team in the division.

The above are problems that have been with us since BFS brought us back up. Still not been addressed but more concerning still not been recognised.

Now I realise we are all non-professionals who simply watch or blow off in our armchairs on Saturdays but the vast majority of fans agree on all this.

Re: Team v leicester
I agree. I'm certain we'll get turned over again
As usual we'll be ill prepared with a team of unfit players, playing out of position as we stutter towards the end of the season struggling to get enough points to stave off relegation

Re: Team v leicester
I fear we will get turned over, just like on Saturday, and the atmosphere will turn ugly.
I can't see any team selection likely to spare us this fate.

Re: Team v leicester
Leicester will love it if we try to push onto them and attack them. Even with their game tonight the likes of Vardy, Okazaki and Albrighton will skip through and/or outpace our midfield for lots of 2 v 1, 3 v 2 and 4 v 2 or 3 situations.

Their speed in transition (defence to attack) is just about the best weapon you can have against our current West Ham team.

I fear the worst so would go with:

Randolph
Byram Fonte Reid Cresswell
Ayew Obiang Fernandes Snodgrass
--------------Lanzini
--------------Antonio

Carroll to come on if it all goes tits up. Lanzini to drop into midfield to make it 5 in there. We have to provide some cover in the middle for our defence against a team that is back to playing classic counter attack football.
